MaryMartha Education Foundation

The mission of the MaryMartha Education Foundation, Inc. is two fold; first to share LOVE; second to demonstrate COMPASSION by providing resources and services that give under-served populations opportunities.  It is through compassion that we will extend our resources and abilities to serve an ever increasing world of lack.  It is through service that we will act and build infrastructure to obtain a better quality of life for those without.

HISTORY

The MaryMartha Education Foundation, Inc is a non-profit founded in 2010 by the Lewis family in Atlanta, Georgia USA. It is named after the mothers of Mrs.Jeanette Lewis-Harding (Mary Louise Yeke Thorpe) and her late husband J. Nostelda Lewis Sr.  (Martha Harris Richards). These two women, Mary and Martha, demonstrated a wealth of knowledge and compassion that positively impact lives to this day.

Mrs. Lewis-Harding is the head of the Lewis family, which derives from Liberia, West Africa. The family’s Liberian roots and Liberia’s unstable past give cause for the foundation to focus many of its services on issues affecting Liberia and its people. The MaryMartha Education Foundation currently operates with a diverse advisory board.
